Staycation vibes hit Market Nights
Plus, Birdy Young is on the Plaza
No suitcase is required to head to downtown Webster City for Market Night tonight.
From 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., market nights will be celebrating with a kids’ bike rodeo, live music by Birdy Young and a wide variety of food and drinks.
The bike rodeo, which starts in the 700 block near Lotus Treasures, is hosted by the Webster City Police Department. Also planned to be on site will be the Hamilton County Sheriff’s office, the Van Diest Medical Center Ambulance team and the Webster City Fire Department. Participants are reminded to wear their helmets and to register to win a free bike.
This week, the PEO Pie ladies will be back with their homemade pies. PEO, Philanthropic Educational Organization, is a women-led group that empowers women through scholarships, grants and education initiatives both locally and worldwide.
The food trucks that will be available include Loudi’s, The Feedshack, Quick & Fresh, El Taco, Riendo, Tikka Talk, The Main Scoop, Kathryn Crazy Kettle Corn, Kona Ice and Tropical Snode. This is in addition to our regular downtown restaurants who are open all week and all year long, Mornin’ Glory Coffee, Wildcat Distilling Co., Leon’s Pizza, La Perla Mexican Restaurant, Chicago Style and Grama’s Diner.
Birdy Young will be on the Availa Bank Stage and is sponsored by Good Life RV.
This event is a rescheduled celebration from our previously canceled Hometown Heroes Night, postponed earlier this season due to weather.
The Vendor Passport program, Youth Fresh Produce Voucher program, and Market Night in a Box will all return tonight. If you are participating with these programs, don’t forget to pick up your items.
American Sanitation is the overall sponsor for the 2025 Market Nights presentation.
