Webster City’s Hotel Motel Tax Board will meet twice this week to determine grant recipients from the latest round of requests.

The board will meet Wednesday in the council chambers, City Hall, 400 Second Street, Webster City. This meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m.

The first portion of the meeting will include presentations from previous grant recipients: Arts R Alive for its downtown sculptures; HERO, Webster Theater, for its front brick work; LIFT WC, Elks Building Rehab Phases 2 & 3; and The DUB Sports Park Inc., indoor athletic facility.

That will be followed by presentations from finalists for funding in this round: Arts R Alive in Webster City, downtown sculptures; Kendall Young Library, rebranding and marketing for library designation; The DUB Sports Park Inc., indoor athletic facility; and Wilson Brewer Park & Depot Foundation, sign, ADA bathrooms and train.

The second meeting is Thursday in the council chambers of City Hall.

This meeting begins at 5:30 p.m.

During this meeting, the board will determine final recommendations on projects and funding level to be presented to the City Council on August 18.
