LEHIGH — A garage was destroyed and a house was damaged in a late Friday night fire in Lehigh.

No one was injured.

The fire at 353 E. Main Street was reported at 11:24 p.m. Friday.

Lehigh Fire Chief Aaron Morris said the fire started in the attached garage and spread to the house. He said the garage is a “total loss.” He said the house sustained heavy smoke damage.

No one was living in the house, according to Morris.

He said the cause of the fire remains undetermined.

Firefighters had to bring water to the scene in tanker trucks that filled up at a hydrant about five blocks away.

Firefighters from Lehigh, Duncombe and Dayton responded, along with Webster County sheriff’s deputies. They were on the scene until early Saturday morning.
