Faith helps close out the 2025 Hamilton County Fair
The Praise singers and band perform Sunday morning during the Faith at the Fair event on the Hamilton County Fairgrounds. They are, from left, Lillian Davis, Evy Streigle, Melissa Miller, Valda Horton, Malachi Streigle, Diesyl Hull, Danielle Woodle on keyboard, and Kirk Greenley on guitar.

Horse judging took place on July 23 at the Hamilton County Fair. Judge Doug Brown provided instructions on how to make the horses look awesome.

Delaney Paulson, of Boone, is pictured with her horses Lady and Rose. She is a member of the Stratford Spirit 4-H Club.
Music of praise and worship wafted over the Hamilton County Fairgrounds on Sunday morning as the Webster City Ministerial Association hosted the ecumenical service on the last official day of the fair.
The Ecumenical Human Needs Fund was designated for the morning offering, which is managed by the Ministerial Association. The total collected was $427.
“No one got an exact count of attendance, but it looked consistent with previous years’ attendance, which has averaged around 150 people,” said the Rev. Jean Morse, of Trinity Lutheran Church, and who coordinated the service.
Temperatures topped 80 degrees at 9:30 a.m., with full sun beating down on the Community Church band, singers, readers and participants in the skit.
“The Not So Faithful Heroes” skit was cast by the “Not Quite Ready for Heaven-Time Players.”
Those who braved the heat with costumes, beards and excessive hair were: Jesus, portrayed by both the Rev. Tony Streigle, of the Church of Christ, and the Rev. Mishael Kunya, of Asbury United Methodist Church; Noah, portrayed by the Rev. Craig Blaufuss ,of First Congregational United Church of Christ; Mary, portrayed by the Rev. Dori Collogan, of Faith United Methodist Webster City and Kamrar United Methodist Church; Woman at the Well, portrayed by the Rev. Sarah Namukose, of Asbury United Methodist Church; and Moses, portrayed by Ann McLaughlin, of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd. Abraham and Gabriel were portrayed by Robin Streigle, of the Church of Christ.
“The Webster City Ministerial is grateful for all who came for a wonderful morning of shared faith and fellowship,” Morse said.
The Hamilton County Fair wrapped up with the official release of the 4-H and FFA results, provided by the Iowa State University Extension and Outreach in Hamilton County.
