The city’s new tree disposal site is open

The City of Webster City officially closed its tree and brush disposal site on East Ohio Street late last week. The city has installed and activated surveillance cameras at that site: sticks, brush and large logs will no longer be accepted there.
The new tree and brush disposal site is 1.6 miles east of Webster City on the north side of Buxton Drive. The site is open daily.
Here are some critical guidelines:
. This site is for Webster City residents only.
. Contractors are not permitted to use this site at this time.
The following materials will not be accepted:
. Tree roots or root balls;
. Building materials.
. Concrete or stones;
. Grass or leaves;
. Garbage or any other waste.
Violators will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law for illegal dumping and/or trespassing, according to the city. If you have any questions regarding this new process, contact the Webster City Street Department at 515-832-9123.
