The Webster City community is invited to join in honoring the legacy of longtime coach, mentor, and beloved Lynx supporter, Dave Hilton, at the official renaming of the Lynx Invitational to the Dave Hilton Classic.

The celebration will take place on Friday, June 13, from 5 to 5:30 p.m. at the Webster City High School Sports Complex and will recognize the incredible impact Coach Hilton had on generations of student-athletes and the broader community.

Event highlights include:

A special ceremony honoring Coach Hilton and his lasting contributions

Featured speakers sharing stories, reflections, and memories

A bench dedication in his honor

An update on the Dave Hilton Character & Commitment Scholarship Fund, created to continue Coach Hilton’s legacy by supporting future graduates who embody his values

Former players are especially encouraged to attend and to step onto the field at 4:45 PM prior to the ceremony to be a part of the heartfelt tribute. Attendees are invited to wear their Lynx colors and come ready to reconnect with teammates, friends, and fellow fans.

The event is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to secure parking and a great viewing spot around the softball diamond.
