Brock Zorn is in national skills competition

WILLIAMS — Brock Zorn, of Williams, is attending a national Leadership and Skills competition this week in Atlanta, Georgia.
He is being sponsored by Des Moines Area Community College.
Zorn took first place and medaled in the Maintenance and Repair division of the conference in Des Moines in April at the Iowa State Fairgrounds.
To win there, he had to diagnose problems with a vehicle and solve problems. He also built a circuit board and worked with safety equipment.
Zorn is the son of Cory and Sara Zorn.
He attended high school at South Hamilton, graduating in May. During his senior year, he took classes at DMACC. His instructor there recommended that he enter this competition.
Zorn will continue his education at Kirkwood Community College in the fall, majoing in diesel technology.
