Market Nights return with a splash

Market Nights in Webster City returns tonight with an invitation from the Webster City Ministerial Association: join in the fun and support a meaningful cause.
Local pastors and clergy will be taking turns in the dunk tank to raise funds for the Webster City Community School District’s Backpack Program, which provides healthy weekend meals to students in need throughout the school year. The dunk tank will be set up on Des Moines Street, right in front of The Daily Freeman Journal parking lot — just follow the sound of splashing water.
Whether you’re showing appreciation or settling a friendly score, this is your chance to dunk a pastor or clergy member — for a purpose. Every dollar raised at the dunk tank goes directly to the Backpack Program, helping to fight food insecurity among students in our local schools.
This vital program, organized through the Webster City Ministerial Association, delivers food weekly to schools across the Webster City Community School District.
The goal is simple: Ensure that no child goes hungry over the weekend.
Consider this your personal invitation to come out and make a splash.
Market Nights, presented by American Sanitation, is from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. with a “We Are Webster City Night” a celebration of community, creativity and connection.
