Graceland flag installation will begin May 15 with volunteer support
The flags at Graceland Cemetery in Webster City will be going out soon.
On May 15, a group of Webster City High School seniors will help the American Legion Post 191 pull the protective ground plugs and install the base poles for the flags. On Saturday, May 17, at 9 a.m. volunteers will meet at the flag building — the blue building on the east side of the cemetery — to install all of the flags.
Anyone who would like to help is welcome.
The flags will remain up for two weeks.
Volunteers will meet again on May 31 at 9 a.m. at the blue building to remove all of the flags.
Again everyone is welcome to help.
If you have your own flag and place it in a specific location, you must have it placed by the evening of May 14 and removed by May 30.
