Carder named new Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Middle School principal
CLARION — Clarion-Goldfield-Dows School District announced two staff moves and two new hires to the Middle School for the upcoming school year.
On Tuesday, Superintendent Joseph Nelson announced that Jared Carder, who currently serves as principal for the district’s preschool through fourth grade students has been named the new middle school principal.
“Mr. Carder’s exemplary and steady leadership at our elementary building made this decision possible,” said Nelson.
Tricia Rosendahl, who currently serves as the district’s dean of students, will become the new Preschool-Fourth grade principal.
“Ms. Rosendahl’s work over the past two school years has made a significant positive difference in the lives of our preschool to eighth grade students,” said Nelson. “Ms. Rosendahl leads with empathy and compassion for all staff and students.”
Brad Kahler will join the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows staff as the district’s activities director and middle school behavior interventionist. Kahler is currently the athletic director and administrative assistant at Glidden-Ralston Community School District.
“Mr. Kahler brings 12 years of behavior intervention and at-risk experience to our middle school,” said Nelson. “(He) will use his at-risk experience to support Mr. Carder and our middle school community.”
Kahler’s wife, Ashley, will also serve as the district’s new middle school physical education teacher as well as head girls’ basketball coach.
“We look forward to great things ahead,” said Nelson.
