Legislative Forum at Iowa Central is postponed until April 26

The Legislative Forum featuring state Sen. Dennis Guth and state Rep. Shannon Latham has been postponed.

It will be back in Webster City on Saturday, April 26, for the final in a series of Legislative Forums sponsored in part by the Daily Freeman-Journal and hosted by Iowa Central Community College.

The forum will run from 11 a.m. until noon in the Chelsvig Center on the Iowa Central Community College Webster City campus, 1725 Beach Street.

Guth, a Hancock County Republican, and Latham, a Republican representative from Franklin County, field questions from the audience during this forum, which is designed to discuss legislation being considered in the current session.

Jim Kersten, vice president of External Affairs and Government Relations for Iowa Central Community College, will moderate Saturday’s forum.

This will be an opportunity for local residents to speak to their state legislators.  Attendees who would like to ask questions will be asked to write them on cards provided. Kersten reads the questions.
