Friday afternoon there will be a time to tell retiring Hamilton County Sheriff Doug Timmons your favorite fish stories to prepare him for all the leisure he will face at the end of this year.

Timmons will be honored with a reception in the Sheriff’s Office multipurpose room at the Hamilton County Courthouse, 2300 Superior Street, Webster City.

This event is from 1 to 3 p.m.

It’s an opportunity to thank him for 30 years in law enforcement.
