Webster City will officially welcome its second Kwik Star convenience store today with a ribbon-cutting at the new location, 1515 Overpass Drive.

This event is at 1:30 p.m. The store is hosting an open house from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.

The Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce will be on hand to formally introduce the new store to the community.

The new Kwik Star has already observed some Grand Opening specials.

According to Assistant Store Leader Jaxon Myers, of Fort Dodge, the Grand Opening has been very positive.

“It’s been great. We’ve had a lot of leaders from other stores, different districts come together, put everything together, and then we’ve just kind of been going at it ever since.”

When asked how people were reacting to the new store, Myers said “Oh, they love it! Especially this is more of like a neighborhood store, so a lot of the people are close by. We see them once, twice, 2-3 times a day. So it’s kind of nice; it helps them, they love it. We’re loving it here.”
