The City Council of Webster City will meet this evening in the council chambers of City Hall, 400 Second Street, Webster City.

This meeting begins at 6 p.m.

On the agenda is a public hearing on the proposed renewal of the Gas Franchise Ordinance with Black Hills Energy and potential vote on a first reading of a proposed ordinance amending the Code of Ordinances of the City and granting renewal of the Gas Franchise Ordinance with Black Hills Energy.

This first reading would grant to Black Hills/Iowa Gas Utility Company, LLC D/B/A Black Hills Energy a nonexclusive authority for 25 years.

The council is also expected to go into closed session later in the meeting.
