Stratford on The Loose begins tonight with music & food
STRATFORD — Stratford on The Loose kicks off tonight with a big barbeque and a band.
The Stratford Communications Annual Celebration & Barbeque is from 3 to 7 p.m. This is a freewill donation meal to benefit Stratford Fire & Rescue at Stratford City Park.
Also at the park, from 5 to 7 p.m., there will be music by Booneshine, sponsored by Stratford Communications.
On Saturday, July 13, a parade on Shakespeare Avenue begins at 10 a.m., sponsored by the Stratford Lions.
From 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. there will be a Handmade Market and Vendor Fair.
Kids activities will be offered from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. there will be White Elephant Bingo, sponsored by Shakespeare Community Center.
At noon there will be a pedal pull, kids water fight, bags tournament, and the opening of the beer garden.
Food is available throughout the day.
From 6 to 11 p.m. there will be a street dance with Jordan Beem music at 6 p.m., Blake Jack and South 35 at 7 p.m., both sponsored by the Stratford Development Corporation.
On Sunday, July 14, a community church service will be staged in the park with music by the Blackwood Brothers Quartet.
At noon, there is a freewill donation lunch. After lunch, there will be music by The Wiersons.
