Peoples Credit Union new building wins Silver Design Award
The American Society of Interior Design recently recognized Peoples Credit Union remodel with a Silver Design Excellence Award in the Office/Corporate: 9,999 square feet and below category.
The ASID is a nonprofit organization that represents all sectors of the design industry and promotes the interior design profession. Founded in 1975, ASID is the oldest, largest, and only multi-disciplinary professional organization for interior designers in the United States, with over 25,000 members.
Peoples CU chose the La Macchia Group consulting/design/build firm for its experience working with financial institutions and willingness to use local suppliers whenever possible.
Peoples CU intention for the remodel was to accommodate its growing membership and provide an updated professional look. The La Macchia Group transformed the existing building and built an additional 4,358 square feet space for the credit union’s growth.
“We are honored to have our building recognized with a Design Excellence Award through the La Macchia Group’s design-build efforts,” Jordan Hensley, chief executive officer and president of Peoples Credit Union, said. “The new lobby and the whole building has a modern feel, with strong brand colors and a clean finish throughout.”
