First Congregational’s UCC Women’s Fellowship held its program’s year-end dinner on May 22.

After dinner, the Fellowship announced recipients of money collected from the year of fundraising, which included selling pecans, serving funerals, and holding two thrift sales.

This year the Fellowship gave $5,200.

Here is a list of the organizations that benefited from the Women’s Fellowship’s efforts:

OCWM — Our Church’s Wider Mission — received $1,000;

First Congregational, UCC received $1,000;

UDMO — Upper Des Moines Opportunities, Inc. — received $1,000 ($500 for swim passes, $500 undesignated $500;

HERO — Help Entertain and Restore Organization — for the Webster Theater, it received $700;

Meals on Wheels received $500;

ACE — All Culture Equal — received $500;

The Food Bank of Iowa received $500.
