Grammy winner Rory Feek will perform
Local audiences invited to two nights of music at Murray Fest
Grammy award-winning Rory Feek will perform Sunday at the Hamilton County Fairgrounds in Webster City.
There’s nothing like music outside on a lazy June evening in Iowa. The first annual Murray Fest at the Hamilton County Fairgrounds will offer area residents a chance to tap their toes or dance on the grass — complete with at least one Grammy Award-winning artist set to perform.
Sponsored by McMurray Hatchery, Murray Fest is expected to draw a full house to the Hamilton County Fairgrounds Saturday through Monday morning with talks, shows and an assortment of presentations from internationally known gardeners, homesteaders and those committed to a sustainable lifestyle.
Area residents are invited to take part with two nights of music on Saturday, June 29, and Sunday, June 30.
Kessel, Brad and Kate perform Saturday
First up on Saturday will be Iowa-based duo Brad and Kate performing at 6 p.m. Known for an eclectic mix of pop and folk music, Brad and Kate will be a fun way to ease into the weekend.
Performing later in the evening on Saturday will be Seth Kessel and his band.
This New York artist and his band recently released a new album, “Ride on Through.” Born and raised in New York, Kessel is both a singer and songwriter with a love for classic rock. He credits everyone from Johnny Cash to Elvis Presley as his musical influences.

Of course, Murray Fest is more than just music. Three stages will be operating throughout the weekend with various speakers.
