A Cub Scouts & Scouts BSA open house is Thursday, May 16, at West Twin Park, corner of Superior and Bank streets, Webster City.

The event is from 4 to 7 p.m.

All kindergarten through ninth-graders are welcome — meaning the grade the young people will be in this fall.

There will be food, face painting, an obstacle course, Dutch oven cooking, camp area display, rocket launching, balloon creations, and bounce houses.

The event is sponsored by Abens Realty; State Farm, Jerry Goebel, agent; The Haunted Barn; and Sogard Excavating.

Information about joining Scouts and Den Leader openings will be available at the West Shelter.
