Webster City’s Cat Hut will “Pawty on” for the paws

The Cat Hut in Webster City is partnering with animal welfare organizations throughout the United States and beyond for the 2024 Shelter Slumber Pawty.

On Saturday, April 6, hundreds of animal lovers will spend 24 hours side-by-side with shelter pets to raise funds and awareness for community animals.

That’s right: The Cat Hut’s most dedicated supporters will spend 24 hours eating, sleeping and “pawtying” with our amazing cats and kittens while raising money to support its programs.

“We’re super excited about this unique event, especially heading into kitten season, Monica Becker, board president, said. “We already have our first two mamas with newborns and another litter on the way. It’s going to be a busy year.

“Adoptions have increased 93% since opening The Cat Hut in 2022 and we’re anticipating even more in 2024.”

Participants have already begun fundraising efforts online at https://www.shelterslumberpawty.com/Cathut2024 and all proceeds will go towards animal care costs.

The Cat Hut invites you to stop by to meet the fun-loving pajama-pawty volunteers and some adorable adoptables during the Pawty’s extended open hours. 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 6 and 9 a.m. to noon on Sunday April 7.
