Webster City’s AMI project continues into the new year

The City of Webster City is continuing with its Advanced Metering Infrastructure — AMI — project, in partnership with HydroCorp.

The project aims to modernize the city’s water metering system.

The water meter exchange program, integral to the AMI project, will initiate its first phase on January 8, encompassing routes 4, 11, 14 and 1.

This would include the Naden Addition, the Second Street corridor west of Prospect Street, and much of the housing south of Ohio Street. It also includes neighborhoods adjacent to Sunset Elementary School and Iowa Central Community College.

Check the online map at webstercity.com/ami-project to see if you are in the affected area.

Residents on these routes should contact HydroCorp at 1-800-315-4305, option #1, to arrange their meter replacement appointment.

HydroCorp’s technicians will conduct the replacements, carrying company identification for easy recognition.

“Our residents can expect professionalism and expertise. Each HydroCorp technician will be easily identifiable by their company attire and ID badges,” assures Dedra Nerland, Public Works management assistant. “It is essential for appointments to be made directly through HydroCorp to facilitate this comprehensive installation process.”

Further details, including a map of the routes, can be found on the City’s dedicated project page: webstercity.com/ami-project.

Starting at $3.46/week.
