If all goes well, the new owners of the Second Street Emporium, 615 Second St., Webster City, hope to open the restaurant sometime next week, according to one of the owners.

The Second Street Emporium closed in the summer of 2021 when owners Scott and Candy Rector retired.

The new owners are a family from Humboldt. They include Armando, Isabel and Tomas Solis, and Ignacio Gonzalez and Georgina Santiago.

The new Second Street Emporium will offer American food, including many of the same menu items patrons grew to know before the Rectors retired. Plans call for brunch to dinner hours.
