Here are five Webster City High School students who were selected for the Iowa All-State Music Festival for the second year in a row. They are from left, Nalani Buakham (Clarinet 3), Caroline Ehn (Alto 2), Alondra Johnson Santana (Soprano 1), Gabe Ruby (Tenor 2), and Lincoln Tielke (Bass 1). They will perform in Ames on Saturday, November 18. Being accepted into these ensembles is a huge honor and a highly competitive process, Music instructor Greta Nelson said. More than 1,700 students audition for the chorus, and only 600 are accepted. “That’s 150 individuals per voice part,” she said.
