City of Council of Webster City may move forward on splash pad

The City Council of Webster City will meet Monday evening in the council chambers at City Hall, 400 Second St., Webster City.

The meeting begins at 6 p.m.

At 6:05 p.m. the council will conduct a public hearing on a proposal to dispose of city-owned right-of-way on Third Street lying West of Fair Avenue. This action would help clear the way for a proposed new Kwik Star location on the west end of the city.

The city council is also expected to permit city staff to begin seeking bids for materials for a proposed splash pad in an amount not to exceed $135,000. The splash pad is part of the fiscal year 23-24 improvement plan. It would be sited at East Twin Park.
