Webster City man is one of two motorcyclists hurt in crash near Lehigh
Two men were injured Thursday evening when they collided while riding their motorcycles near Lehigh.
According to the crash report from the Iowa State Patrol, at about 9 p.m. Thursday, Jonathan Dale Widen, 44, of Lehigh, was riding a 2021 Harley-Davidson southbound in the 2800 block of Union Avenue when he crossed the center line and sideswiped the 2007 Harley-Davidson driven by Troy Landon Schnell, 42, of Webster City, who was driving northbound.
Both men sustained injuries in the collision. Schnell was transported from the scene by LifeFlight to a Des Moines area hospital. Dayton Emergency Medical Services transported Widen to UnityPoint Health — Trinity Regional Medical Center.
The crash remains under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol. Assisting agencies included the Webster County Sheriff’s Office, Dayton Fire and EMS, Fort Dodge Fire Rescue, Gowrie EMS, Lehigh Fire Department, Trinity LifeFlight and Mid-Iowa Towing.
