She is the surviving spouse of Fremont County Deputy Melvin Richardson, who was killed in a motor vehicle collision while responding to a call in the fall of 2022. The proceeds were raised through sponsorships of many local businesses, businesses from the surrounding area, and participants in the HCPOA golf tournament.
