This summer, Stratford will have itself a nice community celebration.

Set for July 8, the Stratford Community Development Corporation will present “Stratford on the Loose,” which will include a parade, a vendor and craft show, bags tournament, kids activities, silent auction and a street dance to end the day.

The live musical acts include Hawk McIntyre and Blacktop, with a street dance spanning from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. in downtown Stratford. McIntyre is a Boone singer-songwriter, who appeared on Season 18 of “The Voice.” Blacktop is a country and classic rock cover song from Des Moines.

While the street dance is set in stone, the full schedule has yet to be released.
