WC Rocketry aims to test the noggin with fourth annual Trivia Night

When someone thinks of trivia games, there is the Trivial Pursuit board game, Jeopardy! and a form of brain teasers. For several people, there are quiz shows and Quiz Bowls — where one’s knowledge of a wide variety of subject matter is carried out through a question and answer format.

Usually, it’s an individual game. Other times, it can be a team exercise.

Next Friday, the Webster City rocketry team is going with the latter with a fun evening full of questions, answers and teamwork.

WC Rocketry will seek to test one’s general knowledge with a range of topics with its fourth annual Trivia Night, scheduled for 7 p.m. on Friday, March 24, at the WCHS North Lobby, 1001 Lynx Avenue in Webster City.

The doors open at 6 p.m., and the questions start popping off at 7 p.m.

Trivia Night is the rocketry club’s annual fundraiser, with collected money going toward operating expenses for the school year.

Those expenditures include building materials, paint, supplies, rocket motors, registration fees and other supplies.

There is an entry fee per team, and the event is limited to 12 squads. However, a team can possess up to 10 members with a cash prize for the winning club.

To register, you can email wcrocketry@webster-city.k12.ia.us or contact Mark Murphy at mark_murphy@webster-city.k12.ia.us.

Registration is due on Monday, March 20.
