Webster City Community Chorus will perform two weekend concerts

The Webster City Community Chorus rehearses for its annual Christmas concert coming up on Saturday, December 3, and Sunday December 4, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Webster City.

The Webster City Community Chorus, under the direction of Dane Barner, will present its 35th annual holiday concert, The Joy of Christmas, this weekend.

This annual musical event coincides on Saturday with the annual Christmas in the City.

Saturday’s performance begins at 7:30 p.m. On Sunday, the concert begins at 2 p.m.

Both performances are at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1229 Kathy Lane, Webster City.

This year’s concert features sacred and secular holiday songs, accompanied by Peggy Owens on piano, Eric Hanson on percussion, and Kirk Greenley on bass guitar.

It will also feature selections from the Webster City Community Handbell Choir.

Plus, there will be an opportunity for the audience to join in the singing of Christmas carols.

A freewill offering will be accepted. The proceeds of this goes toward the purchase of music and other group expenses.
