With Scribble Stones, 4-year-old wants to ‘make people happy’
Four-year-old Nicole Canty, of Webster City, rediscovered her Scribble Stones book by Diane Alber on the bookshelf in her room, her parents Elree and Tyson Canty say.
“For those who may not know, Scribble Stones is about a little stone who became a paper weight, but he had dreams of doing something more meaningful. He meets Scribble and Splatter and they come up with a way to spread joy and kindness to thousands of people.”
Her parents say that in early May Nicole made the declaration that she wanted to paint and mail one Scribble Stone to every state in the United States to “make people happy.”
“I reached out to my friends and groups on Facebook and Nicole has been able to send Scribble Stones to 38 states as of today, June 5,” her mother says.
“If you know of anyone in the remaining 12 states and they would like to receive a Scribble Stone, please let us know.”
The remaining states are Alaska, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Maine, Massachusetts, Montana, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Vermont, and West Virginia.
The Cantys are new to Webster City. If you can help Nicole, send an email to jcurtis@freemanjournal.net and it’ll be passed on to her.
