Martin Torres and Esmeralda Sosa join their their daughter Reyna Torres at the Muffins for Moms and Doughnuts for Dads event at Northeast Hamilton.

The Northeast Hamilton Kindergarten students hosted a Very Important Person Event this week.

Special guests participated in six different stations with their child.

1) They enjoyed a muffin or doughnut while listening to their child read the books they had created for them.

2) They took pictures at the log cabin/photo booth.

3) They made special bracelets.

4) Painted a picture.

5) Planted a flower.

6) Played games together. In closing the children sang a couple of songs.

The students worked hard on reading and writing activities to prepare for this event. It was a fleeting moment, but the memories will last a lifetime.
