ART, LOCAL exhibit continues in downtown WC

Nonprofit arts organization Legacy Learning Boone River Valley will be hosting the gallery showing “Art, Local,” July 16 through July 30. Six artists originally from Webster City will be featured. Platinum Connect, a new business in town, will provide the space for the gallery showing at 620 Second St. from 5 to 7 pm each evening.

“This is an opportunity to see world-famous first class artists and their work. You’d expect to go to Chicago, London or Paris to view these works. This month they will be in Webster City, a town they lived in or still live in,” said Lindsay McCormick Welch, Legacy Learning Boone River Valley board member.

The artists include mixed media artist Roxane Hollosi, painted drawings artist Jo Ann Hendricks, metal sculpture and pottery artist Maureen Seamonds, clay sculpture artist Madalyn Loring Vorrie, sculpture artist Tim Adams and pottery artist Man Ho “Billy” Cho.

This event is made possible by local business sponsors Platinum Connect, Interior Spaces, SaveYour.Town and Produce Station Pottery & Ice House Gallery.
