Three hearings on council agenda

The City Council of Webster City will hold three public hearings Monday night related to the 2021-2022 budget and capital improvement plan and budget, as well as a proposal to enter into an essential purpose loan agreement.

The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. via Zoom. The public can join the meeting by logging onto Zoom with the meeting ID 837 5135 3204. The meeting will also be livestreamed on the city’s Facebook page.

Additionally, the council will hear a presentation from Community Vitality Director Lindsay Henderson and Hamilton County Conservation Director Brian Lammers on Boone Forks Regional Marketing.

The second reading of an ordinance amending the zoning map of the city, rezoning a property located between Briggs Woods Road and Millards Lane from A-1 (agricultural) to M-1 (light industrial). If approved, the council members are expected to waive the third reading and then move to pass and adopt the measure.

A public hearing will be set for the proposed plans, specifications and form of contract for the sewer rehabilitation and repair project.

The council will also consider extending the amended leave policy during the COVID-19 emergency for the city.

Two closed sessions will be held at the conclusion of the meeting to consider the purchase or sale of real estate; and to evaluate the professional competency of an individual.
