WCHS to resume full in-person learning

Classes to begin Jan. 25

The Webster City Board of Education on Monday night voted to have all high school students return to in-person learning on Monday, Jan. 25.

As a result, larger classes will be moved to new locations in our building and in the community. Location changes will be shared with students next week, according to school officials.

Second semester will begin for Cohort A students on Thursday, Jan. 21 and for Cohort B students on Friday, Jan. 22. There will be no classes on Tuesday, Jan. 19 or Wednesday, Jan. 20 to allow teachers to move classrooms and prepare for the shift to100 percent, in-person learning.

Students enrolled in classes at Iowa Central in Fort Dodge, Eagle Grove or Webster City will continue as currently scheduled.

As the high school transitions to 100 percent in-person learning for the second semester, families may request a change in their studentás learning model. Students currently in 100 percent remote learning through Edgenuity may move to 100 percent in-person learning. Students who have chosen in-person learning may move to Edgenuity online learning. To request changes, call the high school office at (515) 832-9210 by Monday, Jan. 18.

Starting at $3.46/week.
