Hamilton County Supervisors to reorganize

The Hamilton County Board of Supervisors will hold a reorganizational meeting Monday at 9 a.m. in the basement conference room.

The board will elect the 2021 chairman and chairman pro-tem. A resolution appointing the staff of the newly elected officials is expected to be approved.

A resolution authorizing the county auditor to issue certain payments without prior approval of the supervisors and an authorization allowing the auditor to make budget transfers of county funds are expected to be approved.

The supervisors are expected to approve authorization for the county assessor to allow homestead exemptions and to authorize the county treasurer to invest county funds.

The county depositories will be named and the board will consider a resolution concerning road closings in 2021 for construction projects.

The board will also set the courthouse hours and holidays for the courthouse. The regular meeting days for the board will be scheduled and the designation of official county newspapers will be made.

The board will also make appointments to county boards and commisions.
