Kim Schaa, Hamilton County Auditor and Commissioner of Elections, has announced that absentee ballots are now available for the March. 2, 2021, Special Local Option Sales and Services Tax Election and the Stratford Community School District.

A qualified voter may request an absentee ballot from the Hamilton County Auditor’s Office by completing the following “Application for Absentee Ballot” and mailing or bringing it to the Auditor’s Office, Hamilton County Courthouse, 2300 Superior Street, Webster City, Iowa 50595-3195.

The qualified voters may also appear in person at the Auditor’s Office and complete the same application form.

To obtain an absentee ballot, a qualified voter must complete an Official Absentee Ballot Request Form and submit it to the Hamilton County Auditor’s Office. Upon receipt of the request form, an absentee ballot and voting instructions will be mailed to you.

www.sos.state.ia.us. If you do not have printer capability or access to the internet, you may call the Auditor’s Office to have a request form mailed to you. (515) 832-9510. The deadline to request an absentee ballot to be mailed to the voter is 4:30 p.m. on Monday, March 1, 2021.

In lieu of the Iowa Absentee Ballot Request Form, voters may submit a written request for

an absentee ballot on a piece of paper no smaller than 3×5 inches.

The request must contain the following required information: Name, Date of Birth, Address (this must be a street address, not a PO Box), Mailing Address for the Absentee Ballot (if different from Hamilton County voting address), Political Party Affiliation (Primary Election only), Name and Date of Election (e.g., Special Election, March 2, 2021), Signature and Date.
