Scholten to visit WC

Parking lot rally is tonight

J.D. Scholten, candidate for Iowa’s 4th congressional district, will hold a parking lot rally in Webster City on Thursday

The event will be held Thursday at 6 p.m. at Nokomis Park, 225 East St., in Webster City. The doors open at 5:30 p.m. with the program scheduled to start at 6 p.m.

In addition to these rallies, he’ll also deliver yard signs to supporters, tour local businesses, and hear directly from people across the political spectrum in Hamilton, Hardin, Grundy, Butler, Floyd, and Chickasaw counties as part of the Every Town Tour, going to all 374 towns in Iowa’s 4th district.

Attendees at the parking lot rallies will be greeted by volunteers wearing face masks and be directed to a parking space. Attendees are required to stay in their vehicles during the program and they’ll listen to Scholten.’s speech broadcast over a FM radio frequency. Attendees will also have the opportunity to text questions to a campaign phone number that Scholten will answer live at the rally.

The rally will also be live-streamed at Facebook.com/Scholten4Iowa.

The stop is part of Scholten’s Every Town Tour as he stops in the 374 towns in Iowa’s Fourth District. Scholten is facing Republican Randy Feenstra in the Nov. 3 general election.
