Police ID two juveniles in bomb threat

Two Webster County juveniles have been identified as the individuals who called McDonald’s Restaurant in Webster City Wednesday night with a bomb threat.

Following an investigation into the incident, two juveniles from Webster County were named as the subjects responsible for the call to McDonalds. Due to the ages of the two subjects, police are not releasing their names. Both subjects were referred to Juvenile Court Services for the deliquent act of false reports, a class D felony

WC police responded to the restaurant at 400 Fairmeadow Drive on Wednesday just before 6 p.m. The reporting party advised a subject had called the restaurant and stated a bomb had been placed in the building and was set to detonate at a specified time. After a walk-through, no device was located. The restaurant reopened a short time later.

The Webster City Police Department was assisted in the investigation by the Webster City Fire Department.
