Rotary Club to continue turkey dinner

Drive-through event to be held at conference center

The Webster City Rotary Club’s Annual Turkey Dinner returns on Sunday, Oct. 11. Because of the coronavirus pandemic, there will be some changes to keep the fundraiser safe for all.

The dinner site has been changed to Briggs Woods Conference Center. There is no dine-in or carry-out as in past years. The take-out dinner will be served from 11 am to 1 pm as patrons drive up to the door.

Central Catering will again be preparing the turkey, gravy and dressing. The staff at the conference center will be preparing the mashed potatoes and green beans. A dinner roll and snack bar complete the menu.

All tickets are $15 and must be purchased from a Rotarian in advance; there will be no tickets available that day.

Proceeds from the turkey dinner have made it possible for the Rotary club to support several local causes for over forty years. The public’s support is encouraged so the organization can continue to contribute to Meals on Wheels, UDMO, All Cultures Equal, Wilson Brewer Park, Hamilton County Crime Stoppers, Back Pack Program, Hamilton County 4-H Foundation, Building Families, and all food pantries in the county.
