Free school meals offered at St. Thomas, Stratford

St. Thomas Aquinas School has announced that starting this week, the school is participating in the extension of the Summer Food Service Program until Dec. 31 or until the funds are depleted.

Meals will be provided to the school’s enrolled students in grades pre-school 4 through 6th grade without charge and are the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex age or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service, officials said. For more information, contact the school, 832-1346.

Stratford Community School District has also announced that the school will serve free meals to pre-kindergarten through 6th grade children attending school in the district due an extension in funding form the USDA. The program is approved to operate through Dec. 31 or until funding runs out. One breakfast and one lunch per day per student is included. A la carte items, adult meals and extra milk are not included in the program.
