LLBRV to host virtual creatures workshop Aug. 5

Legacy Learning Boone River Valley is offering a Fantastic Creatures virtual clay class on Wednesday, Aug. 5 from 6 to 7 p.m.

You will create a clay creature/monster with instruction by artist Madalyn Loring, via Zoom. The video will be archived and students can see the steps again and again . Participants unable make the live class, can create the creature/monster at their own pace.

Loring has created clay kits to take home from the Produce Station Pottery studio/gallery. Participants can pick up the clay kits at the Produce Station Pottery shop, 723 Seneca St, Webster City, IA 50595 from now until 5 p.m. on Wednesday Aug. 5.

When the creation is finished, drop it off at the Produce Pottery Station where the finished monster will be glazed with a shiny clear coat and fired in a state-of-the-art electric kiln.

Participants will receive an email or call to pick them up when they are finished – in about 1 to 2 weeks.
