KY Library issues reminder of new guidelines for children

As the new school year draws near, officials with Kendall Young Library have issued a reminder of their guidelines concerning after school use by young people due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Children 11 years or younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, officials said. Appointments are required to use the library at this time. Fifteen patrons inside the building for specific 30 minute time slots.

Patrons 12 years and older can make their own appointments. Face masks are required to enter the building. Children under the age of 2 are not required to wear a face mask. Call the library at 832-9100 to make a appointment.

Curbside pickup is also still available.

The library will not be offering face-to-face programs this fall, but library officials urged patrons to watch the library’s website and social media for information about virtual programs that are being planned.
