Im is new county economic development director
Cindy Im will focus on housing, child care in the new position
The Hamilton County Board of Supervisors have announced the hiring of Cindy Im as the new county wide economic development director.
Im will oversee the direction of development over the entire county. She has bachelor of science and master of applied science degrees in business management. She was previously employed by Van Diest Supply Company where she worked for 12 years. She was the formulation business manager. She also has previous experience as a home mortgage specialist.
According to Hamilton County Supervisor Rick Young, the county has not had a countywide development director for the past 25 years, although the director of SEED served mainly the southern rural communities of the county.
The primary focus of Hamilton County economic development will be housing and childcare, based on input from representatives from every community in the county.
She will begin her duties with the county on Aug, 1.
