A special fundraiser is planned for Friday, July 31 to help benefit the East Twin Park improvement project.

Crestview Nursing and Rehabilitation will hold a drive-through smoked pork loin dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. that night. According to Mike Peterson, food service director for Crestview, those attending will be able to follow the signs on south Des Moines Street, drive under the care center’s canopy to make a freewill donation and to pick up a boxed meal.

The meal will include smoked pork loin, twice baked potatoes, corn, a roll and a monster cookie bar.

Peterson said the facility wanted to do something to help the project and the community.

“There’s a lot of money that needs to be raised to match the grant funds,” he said. “We just thought we could help with that.”

The City of Webster City received a Wellmark Foundation grant earlier this year for $96,948. The grant requires a match which can be 50 percent in-kind donations and 50 percent cash.
