Here’s how Hamilton County voted in other races

A total of 3,048 Hamilton County voters cast ballots in person or by absentee ballot in Tuesday’s primary.

Of that total, 2,056 ballots were cast in the Republican primary, while 992 voted in the Democratic primary.

For the U.S. Senate race, Democrat Theresa Greenfield received 559 votes, followed by retired Admiral Michael Franken with 237. Eddie Mauro received 96 votes and Kimberly Graham garnered 75. Four votes were cast for Cal Woods. Greenfield was chosen statewide as the candidate who will challenge Republican Joni Ernst for the Senate seat.

Even though Republican Randy Feenstra was declared the unofficial winner in the District 4 U.S. House race, in Hamilton County, Steve King received the most votes with 821, followed by Feenstra with 683. Bret Richards received 182 votes and Jeremy Taylor earned 132 votes. Steven Reeder received 84. Feenstra will face Democrat J.D. Scholten in the November general election for the District 4 seat.

Republican Jesse Green received the most voted in Hamilton County for the State Senate District 24 seat. Chad Behn, son of the current office holder Jerry Behn, received 430, while Todd Rasmussen received 286 votes. Joshua Dyer received 143. There were two write-in votes in Hamilton County.

On the Democratic side, Cynthia Oppedahl Paschen received 875 votes in the State Senate District 24 race. Keith D. Puntenney received 239.

State Rep. Robert Bacon was unopposed for the Republican nomination for House District 48 and received 1,713 votes with 15 write-in votes. He will face Democrat Jack Friend who was also unopposed in the primary. He received 846 votes in Hamilton County.

County Supervisor Dan Campidilli, running unopposed for the Republican nomination for the District 2 Supervisor seat received 732 votes. There were nine write-ins.

Jerry Kloberdanz, running unopposed for the Democratic nomination for Supervisor District 1, received 305 votes, with 4 write-ins cast.

County Auditor Kim Schaa ran unopposed for the Republican nomination for auditor. She received 1,903 votes with two write-ins.
