Fireworks display set for Friday, July 3

Event sponsored by Van Diest Supply Company

Even though many area July 4th celebrations have been canceled for 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Webster City will still have a fireworks display to celebrate the holiday.

Once again, Van Diest Supply Company of Webster City will be sponsoring a fireworks display at the Webster City High School on Friday, July 3. The fireworks will get underway around 10 p.m.

Van Diest Supply Company will once again use the west end of the football field for the display. As in previous years, any community members who wish to watch the show can come to the high school to do so.

School district officials encouraged those attending to practice social distancing, bring lawn chairs and avoid congregating in groups in order to keep everyone safe and healthy.
