Hamilton County Offices will be open by appointment only beginning Monday. This would include the Courthouse, Social Services, Public Health Conservation, County Attorney and Briggs Woods Conference Center.

County officials said the public must call the specific department they wish to visit to establish a date and time for an appointment. The doors to all county buildings will remain locked.

Visitors are requested to wear a face mask to their appointment. Visitors are asked to wear masks and are asked to wait outside the South ground level doors at their appointed time. A representative from the department will call for the individual at the door and will escort them to the appointment and will also escort them back to the exit upon the completion of their business. Only the individual with the business to transact will be allowed in the building unless the transaction requires a witness or multiple signers. Children will not be allowed to accompany appointment holders unless the appointment involves the child. The public will only be able to visit the department where the appointment is scheduled. Visitors with Sheriff’s office appointments must use the upper level entrance at the courthouse.

This new COVID 19 policy affects only Hamilton County Offices. The Clerk of Courts Office in the courthouse will continue to operate under its current COVID 19 policy.
