County forms development organization
The Hamilton County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday announced the creation of Hamilton County Development.
After over a year of seeking input from area businesses and countless contacts in the development community throughout Iowa, it was announced that the primary focus will be housing, workforce development, downtown development/revitalization, business retention/expansion and entrepreneurial development.
A advisory board of representatives from every community will provide input, according to officials.
Currently, Rebecca Mines is working part time to help entrepreneurs with business plans and grant/loan applications. She will continue in the same capacity with added responsibilities. A search for a full time position of Executive Director will commence immediately.
