WC City Council to hold virtual meeting tonight
In compliance with the Center for Disease Control’s guidance on social distancing during this COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, the Webster City City Council will hold its meetings using the Zoom teleconferencing program.
Zoom allows the council members, as well as city staff and community members, to participate in the meeting.
The public can join the Zoom meeting at https://zoom.us/j/562792539, or by calling 301-715-8592 and using the meeting ID 562-792-539.
For those who don’t wish to participate using Zoom, the meeting will also be livestreamed on the city’s Facebook page, www.facebook.com/cityofwebstercity.

There will be a moderator of the Zoom meeting who will remove any participate engaging in inappropriate behavior or obscene language.
During the meeting, the council will hold two public hearings.
The first is on a proposed offer to buy city-owned property located on East Dubuque Street.
The second public hearing is on a proposal to enter into a Road Use Tax Revenue Loan Agreement for $4,300,000.
In other business, the council will adopt an amended leave policy during the COVID-19 Emergency for city employees.
The council will also do a first reading of a proposed ordinance to add six stop signs at the intersection of Webster, Cedar and Boone streets along Prospect Street.
