Schools to remain closed until April 30
On Thursday afternoon, Gov. Kim Reynolds announced an extension of school closures across the state of Iowa as a result, school buildings in the Webster City Community Schools will remain closed through at least Thursday, April 30.
Officials said the district will continue to provide meal services and online and print learning resources for students while the school closures remain in effect.
“We would like to thank all of our families, students, staff and community members for their patience and understanding as we have managed this unprecedented public health emergency,” said Dr. Mandy Ross, superintendent of schools. “We encourage everyone to continue social distancing and staying home as much a s possible to help slow the spread of COVID-19 in our community. Taking these actions will allow us to get back to normal in as swift a manner as possible.”
